Parboiled Rice processing at Aishwarya Agri Processors involves a systematic process of Soaking, Pressure Steaming & Drying before the rice is broken prior to milling process. The processing begins with soaking of the Rice grains with the husk still on, followed by cooking with steam before the Rice is dried while still in paddy form. And then they pass through a standard milling process that ensures removal of the hull and bran. The soaking process causes the grains to swell and enable essential nutrients, such as thiamine, to migrate from the grain's bran where they are normally found to the grain's kernel. End result, is a Parboiled Rice that is more firm and less sticky and more nutritious and digestible than other rice varieties. It will also have a much more durable kernel that allows it to be overcooked without being too soft or any kind of loss to their shape. The Rice's color will be light yellow or amber which however fades after cooking.
The Parboiled Rice is better than regular rice for the simple reason that it goes through a process where the starch in it is stabilized thus making it less starchy. Its nutritious properties and low fiber constituents also make it extremely soothing to the digestive system.
