Ponni Parboiled (Steamed) Rice
To begin with, the paddy is firs processed in the parboiling unit wherein the moisture is reduced at a level of 14 degrees Centigrade. Then the hot air steam is passed in the storage tanks of paddy. The hot air steam partially boils the reaped paddy which later is dried before being sent to the processing unit where they are milled, sorted and finally graded after they are cleaned and made free of pebbles, insects, grimes, etc. Then they are steamed to reduce the moisture of the paddy so the cooking results of the rice will be good. The entire process is performed with utmost care so as to ensure that most of the basic nutrients of the paddy's outer shell enrich the rice thus making it tastier while ensuring that the nutrients are retained, the rice has good texture and is nutritious and wholesome when cooked.
On completion of processing, units of Ponni Parboiled Rice are packed in high quality packing material thus ensuring that they retain their utility value and taste for a longer period of time.
